Position: TRUCK SHOP TECHNICIAN-2ND SHIFT| OAKVILLE, IA
Location: Oakville

Overview

Nature of Position: Maintain truck and automobile fleet

Responsibilities
  • Be able to follow safety rules and bio-security regulations setup by Tri Oak Foods.
  • Be able to learn and understand all aspects of preventive maintenance of the truck and trailer, including greasing, oil changes, tires, lights, etc.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner with parts suppliers, tire dealers and fellow workers etc.
  • Handling and changing tires for cars, trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and managers.
  • Be able to work together with co-workers and managers in order to promote teamwork.
  • Be willing to perform other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
  • Must be able to understand and follow all DOT regulations, this includes filling out logs reports, vehicle inspection reports, unloading sequence sheets, trip sheets, and driver truck sheets.
Qualifications
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable on the company program. Having a CDL Class A would be a bonus.
  • Must have a good driving record.
  • Needs to have a good sense of direction, in order to understand written and/or spoken instructions required for service calls.
  • Must be able to work in adverse outside conditions when temperatures may range from above 100 degrees to 0 degrees and below, for the entire workday.
  • Must be able to drive under adverse road conditions.
  • Have the ability to scale several types of ladders, such as bin ladders, and truck ladders.
  • Be able to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Be dependable, self-motivating, and willing to work.
  • Be in relatively good physical and mental condition.
  • Be able to work flexible hours.
