Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO)

Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour

We’re hiring drivers that will respond to emergency and/or non-emergency requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

• Respond to operation and dispatch requests and use necessary tools, maps, and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
• Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
• Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
• Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair, and use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.

• State Driver’s License
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• CPR card
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
