This is an on‑call position based at the Estherville Campus including morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight hours. Hours will vary depending on the request. Primary responsibilities are to obey all traffic laws, perform inspections of the bus before and after each route, ensure the safety of all students, and maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times. Valid CDL license (required);

air‑brake endorsement is not required.

The successful candidate will have experience driving a bus and will transport students for field and athletic trips.

• Perform inspection of the bus before and after each route.
• Ensure the safety of all students.
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times.

• Report all needed maintenance repairs to appropriate personnel.

• Represent the College in a positive manner to other employees, students, visitors, and the community.

Light to medium work. Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (10‑33%); up to 20 pounds frequently (34‑66%); and up to 10 pounds constantly (67‑100%) to lift or move objects. Must be able to perform routine stooping, bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions continually (67‑100%).

Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check, pre‑employment drug screening, and ongoing drug screenings. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Valid CDL license required; air‑brake endorsement is not required.
• Previous bus driving experience required.

Salary: $25.00/hour drive time, $40.00 overnight
