Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts

The Delivery Specialist will maintain, operate, and manage store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. The role includes collecting cash on delivery (C.O.D.) and picking up customer returns.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products safely and efficiently.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily inspections before operating.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
• Assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
