Overview

The Residence at Riverbend is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants/CHHA for immediate consideration. Salary Range: $20.00 – $24.00 Hourly

Up to $5,000 sign‑on bonus available: $5,000 for full‑time, $2,500 for part‑time

Full‑time:
All shifts
; Part‑time: 3 p‑11 p or 11 p‑7 a. Must have an active CNA/HHA certification in MA.

Summary

The Resident Care Associate provides personal care, therapeutic programming, safety and emotional support to seniors, respecting their dignity, independence and individuality. Duties include delivering services per the approved service plan.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co‑workers and the community.

Represent and positively interact with potential residents, families and professionals to grow community occupancy.

Complete community and state orientation training before regular duties.

Assist residents with medications per state regulations, record entries, and notify the nurse for self‑administered meds.

Engage residents in meaningful interactions and experiences; encourage independence in activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).

Initiate group and individual engagement activities.

Monitor changes in resident needs, preferences and health status, and report promptly to the RN or designee.

Assist with clothing, laundry, bedtime, and maintaining neat, clean units.

Respond to emergency calls and attend to residents’ needs promptly.

Participate in ongoing in‑service training; attend specialized staff training and mandatory education as required.

Escort residents to meals and activities as directed.

Document scheduled and unscheduled services, incidents, behaviors, and extraordinary events in the community computer system.

Conduct and facilitate therapeutic programs, including cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection.

Complete other duties as requested.

Qualification Standards

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Use of computer for documenting services; fluent English communication (oral and written).
Education: Completion of CNA course or equivalent training required by state, CPR and First Aid training per state mandates.
Experience: Prior direct care experience preferred; experience caring for seniors with Alzheimer's or other dementia preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: Current state‑required license/certification; provide documentation to the Resident Care Director.
Computer

Skills:

Demonstrated computer literacy and familiarity with office software; ability to learn data input.
