What You'll DoYour Impact: Our seasonal staff ensures visitors enjoy extraordinary places during warm weather, managing beach operations and guest experience.
Role OverviewAs a Seasonal Assistant Beach Manager (SABM), you will lead the team, applying customer service experience to create a positive beach visit. You will report to the Property Business Manager and collaborate with a Seasonal ABM and other supervisory staff.
Responsibilities- Assist with seasonal staff training, monitoring delivery, and coaching staff for positive guest interactions.
- Coordinate interdepartmental communication among Rangers, Lifeguards, Stewardship crew, Gate Staff, EMTs, Beach store, Ecology, and Engagement Staff.
- Ensure proper daily opening and closing of beach.
- Oversee employee records and payroll for beach employees, and maintain staff schedules.
- Monitor traffic flow onto the property and manage parking to maximize revenue while minimizing frustration and ensuring safety.
- Promote the organization’s membership recruitment efforts among staff.
- Maintain proficiency with the current POS system, troubleshooting and supporting staff usage.
- Coordinate maintenance and cleaning of the Bathhouse facility with cleaners.
- Assist in distributing and collecting survey data from Trustees’ visitors.
- Strong, positive leadership with experience bringing cohesion to teams.
- Flexible for varied work hours during the summer season, including weekends.
- Experience in record/log keeping and public safety documentation.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to see the big picture.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Calm under high-pressure situations.
- Background in customer service, conflict management, or visitor experience is a plus.
- Access to a vehicle is necessary.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and be on foot for up to 10 hours per day.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
- Satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check.
- Sick Time: 40 hours of paid sick time upfront.
