The OpportunityWith a loyal, experienced team and a strong culture of collaboration, the firm is now entering an exciting phase of succession planning. The Senior Partner is preparing for retirement, and the existing ownership team is keen to welcome an experienced accounting professional to work closely with them in delivering client services and helping to guide the firm’s future. Reed Practice has been engaged to identify an individual who will play a key role in client management, service delivery and, if desired, the ongoing strategic leadership of the practice.
YourRole
As an experienced accounting professional your tasks will include but not limited to:
- Preparation of year end accounts and associated corporate tax returns.
- Self‑assessment tax return creation and submission.
- Completing VAT returns, liaising with HMRC.
- Reviewing work of junior team members, mentoring and supporting them when appropriate.
- Offering advice drawing on your knowledge, on accounting software.
This opportunity is deliberately flexible and open to candidates at different stages of their career;
Senior Accountant, Client Manager or Portfolio Manager. You will
- Be qualified – AAT, ACA or ACCA. Those who are qualified by experience are also considered.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a similar role within practice working to UK regulations.
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively especially to those not financially trained.
- Able to form and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Have a strong knowledge of tax – highly desirable.
