Join our Corporate Audit and Advisory team at Larking Gowen. In this role you will work closely with senior management to deliver exceptional client service, develop the team, and foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Complete audit work on all financial statement areas to a high standard with minimal supervision.
- Assist in the preparation of individual and consolidated financial statements (primarily UK GAAP).
- Maintain good working relationships with clients and their staff.
- Identify opportunities to cross‑sell Larking Gowen services.
- Ensure the firm meets all regulatory requirements and consistently meets deadlines.
- Understand the commercial implications of productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
- Set and monitor job budgets and communicate workload with Manager or AIC.
- Maintain compliance with CPD requirements and attend required training courses.
- Share experience with colleagues to support department development and provide constructive feedback to junior staff.
- Adhere to risk management policies and procedures and undertake any other duties required by the business.
- Part‑way through studying for ACA or ACCA.
- AAT Level 4 qualified (if applicable).
- Experience working with an external client base.
- Experience assisting in the preparation of financial statements and tax computations.
- Experience auditing entities in a range of industries (e.g., commercial and not‑for‑profit).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, internet, e‑mail and computerised accounting packages.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Ability to work at a high level of confidentiality.
- Positive, "can‑do" attitude.
- Innovative and proactive initiative.
- Commitment to excellent client service at all times.
- Willingness to travel to other Larking Gowen offices in East Anglia when needed.
