This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual who has recently completed their A Levels (or equivalent) and is looking to take their first step into a professional career.
As an Intern within our Business South Team you can work as part of our Colchester, Ipswich or Diss teams. You'll gain hands‑on experience working alongside experienced accountants and business advisers, supporting a wide range of clients and developing practical skills in accounting, finance and client service.
For the right candidate, this role would be initially for up to 9 months on a fixed term contract with the potential pathway to be offer a trainee position on our apprenticeship programme, studying towards the AAT Level 3 and AAT Level 4 qualifications.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
As part of the Business South Team, you'll be involved in a variety of tasks including:

  • Supporting the preparation of accounts and financial information.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software.
  • Helping to prepare VAT returns and other client work.
  • Maintaining accurate records and client documentation.
  • Providing administrative support to the team.
  • Building professional relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Learning about accounting processes and business advisory services.
