Place of work: Ipswich – hybrid options available after probation

Salary: £32,000-£36,000 salary based on experience

The Team

The Sales and Logistics Team works closely with Axter’s technical sales team and builds good relations with the company’s customer accounts (Axter approved installers), processing their orders of Axter materials with our UK stockholding partner and third-party products with our partner suppliers. The team coordinates deliveries of these sales orders to Axter roof waterproofing projects across the UK, providing clear and timely communications to customers in accordance with our customer service objectives.

The Role

The Sales and Logistics Team Leader role monitors the day-to-day activities of the team, ensuring individual and team objectives are achieved and all stakeholders’ needs are met at the highest level. The role reports to the Sales and Logistics Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes Service

Effectively plan, organise, allocate and monitor team activities in:

  • processing customer orders with great attention to detail on materials required, site restrictions, delivery requirements and deadlines to ensure delays are avoided and customers’ requirements are fulfilled.
  • placing orders for Axter materials with the Axter UK stock warehouse and orders for third party materials with Axter’s partner suppliers to ensure deliveries are made in accordance with deadlines and works on site can be carried out as scheduled.
  • liaising with our warehouse, suppliers and customers to coordinate delivery of goods to sites across the UK and to process delivery notifications with correct delivery charges applied to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate customer / supplier invoices.
  • monitoring customer (accredited contractors) orders closely, meeting their needs, managing their expectations and keeping them informed of deliveries or quality issues to maintain a strong business relationship;
  • assisting with checking and collating order/delivery documentation with supplier invoices and ensuring information is delivered to finance colleagues to meet their deadlines and objectives;.
  • updating colleagues (specifically Axter technical sales team) on any matters they need to be aware of regarding sites, orders, deliveries, product supply, etc to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the team and that project deadlines are met;
  • To work closely with the Sales and Logistics manager to formulate operating standards and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency for the department.
  • To lead the team in the absence of the Sales and Logistics Manager to ensure continued service delivery.
  • To collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager on stock management levels and stock orders to ensure customer orders can be fulfilled in a timely manner
