Home ownership Officer Based at Florian House, Ipswich – Covering Ipswich and the surrounding areas 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 17:30pm

We are looking to recruit a Home ownership Officer to join the Home ownership team in Ipswich. You will be responsible for delivering a responsive and customer focused home ownership management service. In this role, you will be part of a strong and experienced team, where training and development are of prime importance to encourage staff progression. You will have the opportunity to develop your team and contribute to delivering a customer-focused service.

The

role of Home ownership Officer will include:
  • Delivering a high-quality leasehold management service, aligned with relevant legislation, internal policies and good practice
  • Managing leaseholder expectations regarding communal repairs and providing support, where appropriate, regarding other repairs issues
  • Working with colleagues in other service areas to help the organisation meet its compliance obligations (fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection)
  • Providing advice and responding to queries on all aspects of service charge budgets and accounts
  • Working with a range of external agencies to resolve a range of issues affecting resident welfare including domestic abuse, anti-social behavior and safeguarding
  • Working closely with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tasks related to managing leasehold properties
Skills and experiences:
  • Proven experience of undertaking a similar role
  • An understanding of home ownership and leasehold management
  • Previous experience in managing staff
  • Prior experience of delivering high quality customer services
  • Experience in complaint handling, will be pivotal in your pursuit to provide a positive experience to a diverse group of customers with enthusiasm and confidence
  • Excellent skills in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent customer service and negotiating skills
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
  • Travel will be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
