Damp & Timber Surveyor | Ipswich | Full Time | Monday–Friday, working either 7:30 am–4:30 pm or 8:00 am–5:00 pm | £35,000–£40,000  Commission Our client is a well-established specialist damp control and timber treatment company based in Ipswich. Founded in 1971, they have over 50 years' experience working with architects, surveyors, county councils, insurance companies, builders, and private clients across East Anglia.

They are proud members of the Property Care Association and are accredited with Construction Line, CHAS, and ICO. This is a full-time Damp and Timber Surveyor role based in their Ipswich office. You will be responsible for surveying timber, diagnosing dampness in properties across East Anglia, advising on suitable preservation treatments, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and producing accurate, detailed reports.

Minimum qualification C.S.T.D.B (or equivalent) (or 5–6 years relevant industry experience) Experience surveying buildings and diagnosing damp and timber defects (technicians with strong knowledge considered – training provided) Strong communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with customers at all levels Honest, trustworthy, and professional approach Able to produce clear, accurate written and verbal reports Competent in using surveying equipment and basic software Good understanding of health & safety regulations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills What will your role look like?

Carrying out damp and timber surveys across East Anglia (Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk) Occasional travel to Cambridge and North London Diagnosing defects and specifying appropriate remedial treatments Producing detailed survey reports and recommendations Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Once established: 4 days per week on-site conducting surveys 1 day per week in the office for admin and paperwork What's next?
