Senior Engineer

We're supporting a major UK infrastructure project and are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Temporary Works) to join the delivery team on a site-based role in Suffolk.

This senior position combines Temporary Works coordination, engineering delivery, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will take ownership of a section of works to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.

The role is based in Suffolk and is primarily site‑based, with flexibility where appropriate.

• Lead Temporary Works coordination and ensure compliance with safety and design standards
• Develop construction methodologies and support programme delivery
• Act as a key interface between designers, subcontractors and site teams
• Identify risks and drive practical engineering solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and support wider team delivery
• Support RAMS, planning, documentation and commercial awareness

• Degree‑qualified in Civil Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience in Temporary Works on major civil/infrastructure projects
• Background with a Tier 1 contractor or large‑scale schemes
• SMSTS/SSSTS (essential)
• Strong stakeholder and problem‑solving skills
• Must have UK working rights – Sponsorship not available
