Environmental Manager – Major UK New Build Infrastructure Programme

700/day (All Inclusive) Outside IR35 6–Month Initial Contract, Strong Likelihood of Extension

This is a major nationally significant infrastructure programme – a long–term, large–scale UK construction project with a build programme spanning many years and a workforce that scales into the thousands. It's the kind of project that becomes a genuine career reference point, and one you'll be talking about for years to come.

We're looking for an experienced Environmental Manager to lead environmental management across construction phases on site – someone comfortable operating at the sharp end of a live, multidisciplinary construction environment, not just writing policy from a desk.

What you'll be doing:
  • Leading environmental management and compliance across construction activities, covering legal, contractual, and client requirements
  • Acting as a key environmental advisor to project teams, the client, and regulatory bodies
  • Coordinating environmental surveys, monitoring, and reporting across multiple work fronts
  • Managing environmental incidents from identification through to close–out and corrective action
  • Driving continuous improvement plans and embedding sustainable practices into day–to–day construction delivery
  • Working alongside multidisciplinary teams – civils, M&E, logistics, and specialist subcontractors – to keep environmental risk under control on a live site
What we're looking for:
  • Solid track record managing environmental compliance on major construction or infrastructure projects (nationally significant infrastructure, energy, or heavy civils background all relevant)
  • Confidence engaging directly with regulators and client stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of UK environmental legislation and construction environmental management systems
  • Someone who can operate independently on site while keeping wider project teams aligned
  • Full UK Working Rights
The deal:
  • Up to 700 per day, all–inclusive rate
  • Outside IR35
  • Site–based role
  • 6–month initial contract with a realistic prospect of extension given the scale and duration of the programme
  • Immediate need
