Job Title: Junior Designer
Location: Wherstead Park, Ipswich (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Permanent
Reporting to: Design Lead
Team: Customer, Community & Member Team
About the RoleAre you at the start of your design career and looking for a role where you can learn, grow and build your portfolio in a supportive in‑house studio? We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join the East of England Co-op.
This is an entry‑level opportunity
, ideal for someone early in their career who’s keen to develop their skills while working on a well‑established, trusted brand. You’ll support our Design Lead and Designer, helping to produce accurate, on‑brand creative work across print and digital channels; including in‑store POS and social media.
You don’t need to have done everything before. What matters most is your enthusiasm for design, your attention to detail, and your willingness to learn and develop.
What You’ll Be Doing- Supporting the Design Lead and Designer with the creation of on‑brand marketing assets across print and digital channels
- Producing accurate artwork that follows brand guidelines and campaign briefs
- Helping adapt designs across different formats, ensuring consistency and attention to detail
- Managing your own tasks effectively and meeting agreed deadlines with guidance and support
- Responding positively to feedback and using it to develop your skills and confidence
- A qualification in Graphic Design or a related creative subject (or equivalent experience)
- A portfolio of work (online or PDF) — this will form part of the selection process
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
- A strong interest in branding, layout and visual design
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the role
