Polkadotfrog are delighted to be supporting a professional, friendly and collaborative company based in Ipswich in their search for a CAD Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a growing technical department within a renowned business offering genuine career development and long-term progression!
As the CAD Technician you will be a technically minded individual who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, supporting colleagues during busy periods and taking ownership of producing high-quality technical drawings. If you pride yourself on accuracy, logical thinking and delivering excellent work, this could be the perfect next step.
Day to day you will be responsible for:
Producing technical drawings
Checking and processing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Liaising with internal stakeholders and clients
Reading, interpreting and working from architectural drawings
Supporting general technical administration as required and contributing ideas in team discussions
Key
Skills:
If you have experience within construction or architecture, this would be ideal!
Basic-level CAD experience
The ability to read and understand architectural drawings
Excellent spelling, grammar and computer literacy
A good understanding of construction specifications, survey reports and technical drawings
A team-oriented approach, strong attention to detail, and a methodical mindset
Youll need to be proactive, supportive, and confident in sharing ideas — a real team contributor every day.
