This is an exciting opportunity to join the teaching team within the Netzero Skills Centre at Suffolk New College. Our growing provision for Green Skills includes a demand from local employers to work together to train the next generation of technicians and engineers who can survey, plan, cost, fit, commission, maintain and service systems that control climates in residential and commercial premises.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Ipswich. However, Suffolk New College has a multi‑campus site; therefore, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.

• Deliver high‑quality teaching in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Plan and deliver lessons that cover surveying, costing, fitting, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of HVAC systems.
• Develop and assess students’ practical skills in real‑world, on‑site scenarios.
• Co‑operate with local employers to ensure curriculum relevance and work‑placement opportunities.
• Support staff and students in a safe and inclusive learning environment.

• Relevant industry experience in HVAC installation and maintenance.
• Experience working on‑site and in a practical, hands‑on environment.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Approved DBS check and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Desire to develop teaching skills through the college’s support scheme.
