Hours

Fixed term contract until May 2027, full time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Salary

Band 4 - £30,002 to £36,636 per annum

About The Post

As Quality Officer, you will work within the University’s Quality Assurance Team, contributing to the ongoing oversight of courses and curriculum, supporting the University’s compliance needs, and providing advice and guidance to stakeholders. You will also work alongside colleagues to support the development and delivery of a new Curriculum Management system as part of Student
360, which will see the replacement and upgrade of a number of core systems to improve the experience of key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update core course information to ensure accuracy of published information
  • Collate and audit student handbooks, ensuring information is complete, accurate and aligned with University requirements
  • Support course validation and reapproval processes, including arranging and servicing events, liaising with external stakeholders, and maintaining documentation
  • Maintain the University’s module catalogue
  • Liaise with External Examiners regarding their appointments with the University
  • Support the smooth running of University committees and working groups
About The Team

You will join the Quality Assurance team within Registry Services, working closely with academic and professional service colleagues to ensure quality processes operate effectively and that course information remains accurate and up to date.

About You

You will have a higher education qualification (or equivalent experience) and experience in a high-level administrative role delivering high-quality outputs with excellent attention to detail. You will be confident using Microsoft Office, able to work on your own initiative, and comfortable working with colleagues at all levels.

Experience or understanding of UK Higher Education and/or quality assurance practices would be an advantage, as would the ability to take accurate minutes.
