Salary: £26,310 per annum, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are looking for a Technician to provide technical advice, support and practical assistance to staff and students within the Plumbing field at Suffolk New College.
Responsibilities- Provide technical advice, support and practical assistance to staff and students.
- Prepare, maintain equipment and materials within practical work spaces.
- Ensure safe working practices and support wider College health and safety activity.
- Assist with day‑to‑day activities in plumbing areas to support students studying for plumbing qualifications.
- Train and assist with specialist equipment, systems and techniques.
- Communicate and engage with a range of audiences, including young people and colleagues.
- Record and procure materials and tools using basic IT skills.
- Good standard of education including Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE 4/C).
- Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject.
- Specialism in plumbing and supporting practical skills.
- Basic IT skills for procurement of materials and tools.
- Willingness to undertake health and safety training (first aid and fire marshall).
Based at Suffolk New College Ipswich campus, but may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
