Hours

Permanent, part time, 22.2 hours per week (0.6 FTE, spread across four days)

Salary

Band 1 - £24,522 to £25,249 per annum, pro rata

About The Post

Library Services Administrators are the public face of the University of Suffolk Library providing excellent front-line customer service to all users in support of learning, teaching, research and engagement. The role supports the management of our collections including acquisitions, cataloguing, circulation, subscriptions, digitisation and reading list management. They assist in maintaining a conducive learning environment, answer enquiries, and support the use of a wide range of library self‑service and IT & digital facilities.

They work collaboratively with team members to share good practice and encourage knowledge exchange, facilitating continuous improvement within library services.

The Library Services department, part of the Directorate of Education and Student Experience, is at the heart of learning, teaching, and research at our growing University, supporting students at every stage of their learning journey. Our purpose is to be a pillar for academic excellence at the university through our provision and curation of resources and services that facilitate independent learning and research success.

You

You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple tasks or activities at one time. You will have experience of dealing with a range of customers in a busy environment and providing excellent customer service.
