About the role
We are looking to appoint a passionate SEN Art Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive SEND school in Ipswich. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil is encouraged to express themselves creatively and develop both academically and personally.
The role can be part‑time or full‑time, with an immediate start. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible art lessons tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH. You will work closely with support staff to ensure all students can participate, express themselves, and achieve positive outcomes.
Qualifications- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a specialist setting
- A passion for art and creative expression as a tool for learning and development
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach
