Construction Lecturer

Location: Ipswich

Contract: Full-time, Temporary (initially 10 weeks)

Start Date: September 2026

Teaching Level: Level 3 T-Level Construction

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate should have:

  • Recent experience teaching Construction.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS (preferably registered with the Update Service).
  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent Level
    2).
  • A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in a relevant Construction subject.
  • Availability to start in September 2026.
Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Previous experience teaching Construction T Levels.
  • Existing lesson resources to enable them to start teaching immediately.
  • Knowledge of topics including:
    • Surveying
    • Measurement
    • Building technologies
    • Construction design
    • Science in construction
Key Responsibilities

The lecturer will be expected to:

  • Deliver engaging Level 3 Construction lessons.
  • Plan, assess and monitor student progress.
  • Support learners to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to curriculum development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
