Teacher of Health and Social Care

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and inspirational Health & Social Care Teacher/Lecturer to join a college based in Ipwsich on a full-time basis until 22 October 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher, lecturer or Health & Social Care professional who is passionate about education and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality teaching across:

• BTEC Level 2 Health & Social Care
• BTEC Level 3 Health & Social Care
• BTEC Level 3 AAQ Health & Social Care

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.
• Deliver and assess BTEC and Level 3 AAQ Health & Social Care qualifications.
• Provide high-quality feedback to support learner progress and achievement.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement.
• Support students with progression to higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, development and quality improvement.
• Embed current Health & Social Care practice and employability skills into teaching.
• Promote high standards of student achievement, behaviour and professionalism.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Health & Social Care team.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

• A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or a related subject.
• Experience of teaching or training, preferably within Further Education.
• Experience delivering BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 Health & Social Care.
• Knowledge of the BTEC Level 3 AAQ Health & Social Care programme.
• Strong knowledge of current Health & Social Care practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners.
• A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, where appropriate.
