Salary: ALT Grade G £27,441.48 - £30,459.14 Annually Actual
Weare looking for a compassionate and proactive Pupil Wellbeing Officer to play acentral role in supporting children whose wellbeing, attendance or personal circumstances may be affecting their learning. Based at Hillside Primary School, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ipswich, this position combines direct support for pupils with close partnership working alongside families, staff and external agencies to remove barriers and create positive outcomes.
As a key member of the school community, the successful candidate will lead targeted wellbeing interventions, contribute to safeguarding practice and help ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted wellbeing support and interventions for pupils experiencing social, emotional, behavioural or attendance challenges.
- Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting safeguarding processes, referrals and record keeping.
- Lead the monitoring, reporting and improvement of pupil attendance, including work with persistently absent pupils.
- Maintain accurate wellbeing and safeguarding records and provide advice, guidance and training where required.
