We are now looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering multiple high-value engineering projects.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, senior‑level position where you will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, working across the full lifecycle from concept through to installation. You’ll be operating in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while managing up to 10‑15 projects at various stages.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing complex mechanical systems and assemblies
  • Developing and refining hydraulic systems
  • Working closely with electrical engineers on control system integration
  • Producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
  • Managing projects from concept through to installation
  • Supporting fabrication and providing input during on‑site installation
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Driving continuous improvement and engineering excellence
What We’re Looking For
  • 10‑15 years’ experience in mechanical design within complex industrial environments
  • Background in heavy industry, structural engineering, or moving mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, automation and machinery, and control systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Hands‑on, practical engineering mindset
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
  • Stable career history with solid tenure in previous roles (typically 3–4 years+)
What You’ll Get
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working hours (core hours with flexitime)
  • 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday
  • No overtime expectation

Paid travel, including accommodation and subsistence when on‑site
  • Life insurance
  • Private medical insurance (including spouse cover)
  • Opportunity to work on unique, global engineering projects
Additional Info
  • Occasional international travel required
  • Majority of work focused in the US (approximately 80%), with UK‑based projects also
  • High‑performance, delivery‑focused environment

If you’re an experienced engineer who thrives on variety, ownership, and technically challenging work, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.
