Position: Health & Safety Officer
Health & Safety Advisor – Civil Engineering

Ipswich

£45,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance/Vehicle + Benefits

We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading civil engineering contractor working on a major infrastructure project, with future opportunities across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious H&S professional to develop their career within a supportive environment, working alongside experienced HSE leaders on large-scale construction and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings

• Provide health and safety advice and support to site teams

• Assist with RAMS, permits and project management documentation

• Conduct inspections, audits and compliance monitoring

• Support incident investigations and corrective actions

• Promote behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement

• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies

• Support compliance with company HSE management systems

Requirements:

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate

• IOSH membership or working towards Chartered status

• Previous experience within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Willingness to travel and stay away when required

Package:

• £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary
