Overview

Apprentice Civil Engineer – Kier Group, Ipswich, Suffolk, United Kingdom. Join the Natural Resources, Infrastructure team on the Sizewell C project and work toward a Level 3 apprenticeship as a civil engineering technician. • Maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction; initially assist the project engineer and progress to taking over on competence.
• Assist in managing systems to track progress against time, quality, dimensions and quantity with site teams and the project engineer.
• Regularly check setting out points and benchmarks; ensure setting out instruments and measuring equipment have calibration certificates and are recorded.
• Support the Kier Health and Safety Management System and help implement it to ensure a safe working environment.
• Attend university blocks to attend lectures and meet other students on the course.

• 5 GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, with Math and English essential
• Full UK driving license due to location
