Liverpool Salary: £32,000 - £37,500 The Opportunity A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in the Liverpool area. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of engineered products, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities Create and develop 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for both new and existing products. Support product development projects from concept through validation and production release. Work closely with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful product delivery. Conduct design reviews, engineering calculations, and tolerance analysis. Support prototype builds, testing activities, and product verification.

Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced manufacturability. Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Assist with root cause investigations and engineering problem-solving activities. Requirements Essential Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Previous experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong 3D CAD experience (Solid Works, Creo, Inventor, NX, or similar).

Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation. Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection moulding, assembly, or fabrication.
