Kier are supporting the delivery of Sizewell C, a major 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station under construction on the Suffolk coast in England. As Lead Surveyor, you'll report to the Chief Engineer within the Technical Delivery Team to manage all aspects of engineering surveying on this significant project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project whilst being part of a collaborative and supportive team environment.

What

will you be responsible for?

As a Lead Surveyor, you'll be working within the Technical Delivery Team, supporting them in managing all technical aspects of this major civil engineering project. Your day to day will include:

  • Undertaking setting out for civil engineering works including earthworks, drainage, highways, and structures
  • Establishing and maintaining survey control points, grids, and benchmarks to ensure accurate project delivery
  • Carrying out topographical, as-built, and monitoring surveys, processing data and producing accurate drawings and reports
  • Operating and maintaining surveying instruments and ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards
  • Liaising with engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to provide technical guidance and support project delivery

You hold a Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related discipline

  • You have demonstrable experience in a similar role within civil engineering projects
  • You're proficient in surveying and CAD software to produce accurate technical documentation
  • You have experience working with modern survey equipment such as GPS/GNSS and automatic total stations
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with diverse teams and are committed to promoting an inclusive workplace
