Our client is looking for a Paraplanner to support financial advisers by preparing high-quality client reports, conducting research, and ensuring advice is compliant, accurate, and tailored to client needs. This role is central to delivering an excellent client experience and supporting the smooth operation of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant Suitability Reports and recommendation letters.
- Conduct research and analysis on financial products and providers.
- Assist advisers with technical queries and preparing for client meetings.
- Ensure client files and documentation meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations (as relevant).
- Ensure all advice processes follow internal compliance procedures.
- Keep accurate records of advice, research, and recommendations.
- Support advisers and the wider team with technical administration.
- Use and maintain practice software systems (CRM, financial planning tools, compliance platforms).
- Work collaboratively with administrators to ensure smooth client service delivery.
- Assist with client onboarding, reviews, and servicing tasks where required.
- Provide technical explanations or support in client communications.
- Ensure deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge through ongoing study.
- Maintain relevant qualifications (Diploma or higher in Financial Planning).
- Strong technical knowledge of financial planning products and solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate written reports.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator with advisers, colleagues, and clients.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a paraplanning or technical support role within financial services.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements and advice processes.
- Confident user of financial planning software, CRMs, and Microsoft Office
