Mortgage Collections Manager – Suffolk (office based initially then hybrid). Salary dependent on experience with bonus and benefits.

Introduction:

We are delighted to be partnering with our client - a medium sized business in the financial services sector based in Suffolk. They are recruiting for a Mortgage Collections Manager to manage a small team of 3.

The main purpose of this Mortgage Collections Manager role is to provide strong leadership to the Mortgage Collections Team, driving a first-class, efficient, and fully compliant service that consistently meets Consumer Duty rules and delivers positive customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Collections Team to deliver a fair, efficient, and fully compliant service aligned with Consumer Duty and FCA requirements.
  • Manage team performance through 1:1s, QA, feedback, and targeted training, including vulnerability identification and forbearance.
  • Oversee arrears, interest-only term ends, deceased and forbearance cases, ensuring timely resolution within risk appetite.
  • Prioritise and escape high-risk cases, providing clear recommendations to senior leadership and Executives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through enhanced policies, processes, technology, and third-party management.
  • Produce accurate MI, regulatory returns, and provisioning updates to support credit risk management and fair customer outcomes.
