Analytics Analyst Full time, Permanent Location – Ipswich, hybrid 2 days a week in office Closing date: 24 February Who we are
We’re not just talking about making a difference, we’re making it happen. We generate dispatchable, renewable power and create stable energy in an uncertain world. Building on our proud heritage, we have ambition to become the global leader in sustainable biomass and carbon removals.
You’ll be joining our teams of practical doers, future thinkers and business champions. We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.
About the roleYou’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering high‑quality reports, models and analysis that drive decision‑making across the business. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with teams from across the organisation to understand their needs, translate requirements into clear analytical outputs, and ensure every piece of work is supported with accurate documentation.
You’ll also take ownership of running, scheduling and maintaining ongoing models and reporting processes, keeping everything integrated, reliable and running smoothly.
You’ll be deeply involved in the development and maintenance of commercial analytics, exposure reporting and non‑commodity cost analysis, ensuring the business has the insight it needs to operate effectively. You’ll support monthly finance cycles with accurate cost reporting, validate third‑party cost invoices, and help build the MI that underpins confident decision‑making.
You’ll also work closely with Forecasting, Modelling and Hedging teams to streamline portfolio management, strengthen links across Commercial, Renewables, Strategic Sales and Finance, and present clear, data‑driven recommendations when required.
Who we’re looking forYou’ll bring a strong numerate background and a solid grasp of the wholesale electricity market, along with the analytical mindset needed to work confidently with large, complex datasets. Your ability to spot patterns, interpret trends and explain what they mean for the business will set you apart.
With advanced skills in Excel — and SQL and/or Python experience — you’ll be comfortable building and refining tools that elevate our insight.
If you’re a proactive self‑starter who enjoys working independently and taking initiative, you’ll thrive here.
