Senior Finance Business Partner (Security Business Unit) – Ipswich, UK (Hybrid). Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Salary is competitive. Contract is permanent.
Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will support the Security business unit with financial controllership and strategic insights to drive informed decision‑making and support growth for the business, which has a turnover of £290m.
Key Responsibilities- Produce consolidated monthly Management Reports and Accounts for the Security Business Unit, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and mandatory regional reports.
- Manage three regional Finance Business Partners, providing direction and control for monthly reporting.
- Act as trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing financial guidance and analysis for business objectives and acquisition integration.
- Monitor KPIs and variance analysis to explain drivers of growth and support short‑term performance and strategic direction.
- Develop and maintain effective business‑partnering relationships across operational teams.
- Collaborate with Operations to improve working capital performance, focusing on debt and stock management.
- Provide financial information to enable visibility of performance and support efficiency and profitability strategies.
- Ensure monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations are complete.
- Prepare consolidated annual budgets and rolling forecasts to manage divisional results.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI to analyse data, create reports, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support financial presentations for Commercial Finance Director and senior management for board meetings.
- Support successful completion of annual external audits.
- Ensure compliance with group finance policy and procedure and develop additional policies as required.

- Other Business Unit finance teams
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Management Accounts.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience leading and mentoring a finance team.
- Experience in the Facilities Management industry (desirable).
- Commercial acumen with ability to interpret numbers and communicate issues clearly.
- High attention to detail with commercial focus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Client‑facing capabilities to build and develop relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with complex financial models.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Adaptable to fast‑paced evolving role.
- Curious, determined, with initiative.
- Analytically minded with both big‑picture view and detailed focus.
