Qualifications

Responsibilities:

This two-year graduate programme will see you building your knowledge and skills in areas all across our CRB business. Working with and learning from industry-leading colleagues, you’ll:

Develop your technical knowledge on challenging, real-world actuarial problems for clients

Presenting the results of your work to colleagues and, ultimately, clients

Build strong relationships with colleagues and clients across sectors, including cyber, financial institutions, marine and construction

Grow every day, from a thorough induction to ongoing professional development and training

Be mentored and supported as you study to become a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries

The Actuarial Qualification

The role covers all aspects of actuarial work in General Insurance, namely;
Pricing, Reserving and Capital Modelling. Alongside your role, WTW will support your studies through a complete and flexible study support package that includes:

Membership fees of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries

Study materials for each exam such as course notes, sample questions, past paper questions, mock exams, and revision notes

Tutorials for each exam

Exam entry fees and a re-sit attempt if required

Study leave up to roughly equal to one day per week

You will also have the support of students and qualified actuaries, who can share their experiences of studying for the exams. Those studying towards the actuarial qualification receive salary increases for each exam passed, in addition to increases that are awarded as part of their annual salary review. Please note, in order to maintain these study benefits, the learner will need to demonstrate continued exam success in working towards the actuarial qualification.

Requirements:

A natural problem solver with a sharp and analytical mind

Comfortable working with and analysing numbers

A confident communicator who knows how to build relationships

Curious and eager to build and apply your knowledge

At least 2:1 degree-qualified in a numerate discipline, or 2:1 qualified in a non-numerate discipline plus an A at A-Level Maths.
