The Communities Team supports the Councils' Help Hub by enabling communities to develop and flourish in order to support themselves and others. The team deliver projects directly to individuals and to groups whilst also providing advice, guidance, funding and recognition. This role will manage the part of the team that deliver a number of health and wellbeing projects including:
Active NoW Broadly Active Mindful Towns and Villages The Community Engagement Van (CEVan) It will also support the Community Enablement element of the team, oversee and process Assets of Community Value (ACV) and Community Right to Bid (CRB) applications plus work closely with elected Members, especially regarding Member Ward Grants and the Community Action Fund/Community Grant Scheme. The position is full time on a 12 month fixed term post to cover a secondment.

The post reports to the Community Enablement Manager. The successful candidate will have experience of working with communities and developing partnerships within the public, voluntray or commercial sectors. They will be experienced in managing staff and influencing others plus be capable of ensuring externally funded projects are delivered to a high standard, within the agreed parameters and budget. They will ideally be politically aware and able to communicate with a range of audiences.
