An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Specialist Paediatric Physiologist (Sleep) at Ipswich Hospital.
Responsibilities- Review all referrals that come into the sleep service and assess suitability for the requested investigations and/or treatments.
- Deliver and maintain a sleep physiology testing service that provides multi‑channel sleep studies (Polygraphy) and overnight pulse oximetry recordings.
- Maintain the sleep service database ensuring all patient data is recorded and updates onto the patients' medical records.
- Effectively assess the care needs of patients and their families within the sleep service.
- Deliver and maintain CPAP and Non‑Invasive ventilation service that supports patients with telephone/remote/face‑to‑face follow up.
- Provide support for consultant‑led clinics where respiratory function measurement and/or ventilator devices may be required.
- Provide support to the sleep staff in the event of covering sickness and annual leave.
- Work as a key member of the multi‑disciplinary team.
- Advanced Paediatric Physiologist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of a wide range of respiratory physiology procedures.
- Highly specialist expertise underpinned by theory and experience.
- Ability to undertake complex diagnostic analysis and interpretation within sleep physiology and provide verbal and written interpretation to referring medical teams.
