Summary:

Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital is currently seeking a skilled Pharmacist Manager to join our dynamic team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £48,000, depending on skills and experience. As a Pharmacist Manager at Ipswich Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care and advice across various departments, including the Pre-assessment clinic, Outpatient Department, Ward, and Theatres. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring safe and cost-effective medicines management, and optimizing the use of antimicrobials to minimize hospital-acquired infections.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide leadership and advice on medicines management, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and legal processes.

Chair the Medicines Management Forum quarterly and lead Antimicrobial Stewardship efforts.

Conduct daily ward rounds, reconciling medication, counseling patients, and managing PODs.

Facilitate timely and informed patient discharges, dispensing, and checking TTOs.

Lead the implementation of medication safety alerts and drug recalls, collaborating with the Matron and Quality Lead.

Monitor and ensure compliance with DoH guidance on controlled drugs use in the hospital.

Manage errors, complaints, and incidents following Nuffield Health guidelines.
