Fuchsia Homecare has an exciting opportunity for a Care Supervisor.
Salary£29,400 per year
Working HoursMonday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, with some evening and weekend availability for field‑based duties when needed. Supervisors are also required to participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call as part of a rolling rota, receiving an additional £300 payment for this.
Requirements- Experienced within the care sector and hold, or be happy to work towards, NVQ Level 3
- Have a driving license
- Signing up new clients and liaising with Social Services and/or family members
- Completing client reviews and ensuring the service runs smoothly
- Creating and reviewing person‑centred care plans
- Communicating with care staff about client needs and changes
- Completing spot checks and face‑to‑face supervisions with care staff
Covering workload of Care Coordinator when required
Covering care shifts when required
Preferred Qualities- Passionate about caring and willing to develop skills further
- Experienced with IT skills and have a good telephone manner
- Able to assess clients for individual needs and carry out risk assessments
- Able to type documents using a tablet/laptop and printer
Reliable and flexible - An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with those we support and those around them
- A strong leader
- Able to be patient and keep calm under pressure
- Hardworking, organised and knowledgeable
- Able to work alone and as part of a team and to assist with care calls and the on‑call rota
- Ensuring that all regulatory and contractual standards are met and exceeded
- Providing leadership and management to an assigned team of caregivers
- Ensuring all teams have the required skills and competences, and promoting continuous professional development within the team
- Ensuring all current clients are properly assessed and that high quality, person‑centred care is planned and provided
- Working in effective partnership with key local service providers, including NHS partnerships, Social Work departments and community contacts
