We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Worker to help individuals with long-term mental health needs.

Our mission is to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health, and to assist with this we are looking to recruit for our award-winning, CQC registered care home – Montrose Housing Service.

Located in north Ipswich, Montrose House is a residential care home for 10 residents. Rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, we’ve also won the Wellbeing at Work award by Care Development East.

The role includes supporting with meals, medication, daily activities, and helping people access and enjoy their local community.

• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Work pattern: fixed rolling 7-week rota, including weekends, evenings, bank holidays (to be discussed at interview). Rotas are planned well in advance, to support a healthy work–life balance.
• Salary: From £24,454.04
• Plus: the opportunity to earn on average £3,380.00 per year on top of salary for sleep‑in’s.
• Overtime: Additional overtime available (no guaranteed hours)
• Contract type: Permanent Full time

• At least 1 year’s experience of working with people in a social care setting
• Desirable:
  Experience of working in a residential setting
• Desirable:
  Level 2 or 3 health and social care qualification or equivalent
• Good listening and people skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
  
  Enhanced Adult’s DBS (arranged by Suffolk Mind)
