£26,000–£30,000 basic salary Realistic £40,000 OTE in your first year Uncapped commission with no threshold Commission increasing up to 40% Structured training and ongoing development Direct mentoring from experienced consultants Clear, performance-based promotion opportunities 1pm finish every Friday 25 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays Hybrid and flexible working opportunities as you progress Regular team events and incentives Supportive, performance-led working environment The opportunity You’ll be trained to become a full 360 Recruitment Consultant, learning how to work with both candidates and clients and manage the recruitment process from start to finish.
You’ll work directly alongside experienced recruiters, developing your commercial skills, understanding the Financial Services market and gradually taking ownership of your own client and candidate relationships. There is a strong track record of developing trainees. Established consultants within the division are billing £150,000–£180,000 , while one consultant who joined as a trainee three years ago has received multiple promotions and is on track to bill £250,000 this year .
For someone prepared to learn, work hard and build their market properly, there is a clear route to increased responsibility, earnings and progression. What will you be doing? As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you’ll learn how to:
Source and headhunt candidates Build relationships with clients and candidates Interview and qualify professionals Understand clients’ hiring requirements Develop new business and client relationships Manage interviews and recruitment processes Negotiate offers and close placements Build your own specialist network and market knowledge Recruitment combines sales, relationship building, negotiation and account management , making it a strong option for graduates and early-career professionals who want a commercial career where performance is rewarded.
Who are we looking for? You could be a graduate looking for your first professional role, or someone coming from sales, business development, retail, hospitality or another customer-facing environment who wants greater progression and earning potential. You’ll ideally be:
