People Partner

Our client, a leading retail business, is seeking an experienced People Partner to join their growing People team. This is a genuine strategic partnering role, working closely with senior leaders and managers to deliver high-quality operational and strategic people support across the full employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in shaping culture, driving performance, and ensuring people practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned with commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities Partner with leaders and managers to align people strategies with business and commercial goals Lead employee relations cases, providing pragmatic, legally compliant, and coaching-led advice Develop and deliver departmental people plans, including talent mapping and succession planning Manage and develop a People Assistant while overseeing core people processes Collaborate with Talent, Learning & Development, and wider business teams on recruitment, development, engagement, and workforce planning Lead key people initiatives, including compensation cycles, engagement surveys, and people analytics About You An experienced HR generalist with strong employee relations expertise A trusted advisor with excellent influencing and relationship-building skills Commercially minded, with the ability to balance business needs and a people-first approach Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Pragmatic, solutions-focused, and confident operating in a fast-paced environment This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving retail business.
