Salary: £30,000-£35,000 salary based on experience

The TeamThis position is within the Technical and Compliance team. They manage Axter’s technical documentation library, system testing and certification programmes to ensure that our flat roof waterproofing systems are in compliance with UK construction industry regulation and statutory guidance. The team provides resources, training and support to the wider business to uphold Axter’s technical competency, keeping colleagues up to date with the latest technical developments and working closely with stakeholders to deliver quality-driven solutions and service.
The RoleThe Technical & Compliance Coordinator role focuses on assisting with document control to ensure technical documents and certifications are accurate, current and administered in accordance with version control protocols, thus supporting Axter to deliver the highest standards of compliance. In this position you will work closely with the Head of Technical & Compliance and the wider team.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes- Assisting in the creation and updating of Axter technical documents using InDesign (training will be provided).
- Administering technical document protocols using Axter’s SharePoint PIM system (training will be provided) to ensure strict version controls are upheld in compliance with industry standards.
- Assisting with technical enquiries that are allocated to the Technical and Compliance team (training will be provided).
- Assisting with third-party certification workflows and maintaining progress reports for Manager review.
- Assisting with third-party test programme workflows and maintaining progress reports for Manager review.
- Assisting with product specific Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) creation using ‘one-click’ EPD software (training will be provided).
- Keeping accurate records within Axter’s Salesforce CRM system (training will be provided).
- Providing other administrative support to the Head of Technical and Compliance and team colleagues including, but not limited to, collaborating to coordinate technical advice and industry compliance notes, white papers and technical updates to the wider Axter team, our customers and clients to ensure all parties are working within the relevant requirements, standards and regulations.
Skills and Experience:
The motivation to learn and expand knowledge is an important factor in succeeding in this role.
The candidate must have a good eye for detail, be well‑organised, forensic in their approach and able to prioritise the workload to meet deadlines. Previous document management experience within the UK construction product sector is welcomed.
The candidate should also demonstrate the following:
- Strong IT skills Microsoft Office 365 and a willingness to learn new software.
- An understanding of the importance of technical accuracy, compliance and competency and adhering to processes and procedures.
- Independent learning and teamship.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Appreciation of Axter core values and a desire to achieve our purpose, vision and mission.
- Knowledge of the construction product sector, ideally flat roofing.
- A keen interest in flat roofing products and system development.
