As the Principal Analyst within the Norfolk and Suffolk Intelligence Function, you'll help shape how data and insight are used across health and care services to improve population health outcomes and reduce inequalities.

Working as part of a joint partnership between the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Local Authorities, you'll provide analytical leadership across a complex system, ensuring high quality insight supports evidence based decision making at both strategic and operational levels.

In this role, you'll lead a specialist analytical team hosted by Suffolk County Council, overseeing the delivery of complex intelligence and advanced analytics aligned with regional health and care priorities. You'll act as a trusted expert on data, insight and analytics, working closely with senior leaders and partners across Norfolk and Suffolk.

On a day to day basis, you will:
  • lead and manage a team of Senior Analysts and Data Analysts, ensuring resources are used effectively and work programmes are delivered on time
  • provide analytical leadership across the Intelligence Function, acting as a visible senior expert on health and care data
  • deliver complex analytical projects using advanced techniques, including statistical modelling, predictive analytics, data science and population health management approaches
  • translate complex data into clear, impactful insights to influence senior decision makers and strategic forums
  • work collaboratively with ICB, local authority, NHS and voluntary sector partners to identify priority areas for insight and evaluation
  • support the development of analytical capability across partner organisations by sharing best practice and building analytical communities
  • champion innovation, transparency and ethical use of data across the system.

You'll also contribute to the strategic growth of the Intelligence Function, helping to shape future priorities, strengthen analytical capability and promote continued investment in data and analytics.

You will need

We're looking for someone who brings strong analytical leadership experience and a passion for using data to improve outcomes.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • a relevant degree and a Master’s (or higher) qualification in an analytically demanding subject, or extensive expert level experience in a senior analytical role
  • significant experience leading and managing analytical teams in complex health, local government or similarly large systems
  • advanced knowledge of analytical tools and methods, such as SQL, Power BI, R and Python
  • proven ability to communicate complex data and insight clearly to non technical and senior audiences
  • experience delivering high quality insight that influences strategy, service improvement and decision making
  • a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and a collaborative, values led leadership approach.

If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application. We work in a hybrid fashion with a minimum 40% per week in person in the office.
