Technical Analyst - CAFM

Role Overview

As a CAFM Technical Specialist, you will manage and optimise our Computer‑Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, MRI’s Concept Evolution, ensuring efficient facility operation and enhancing the overall workplace experience.

• System Administration and Configuration
  • Administer and configure the CAFM system, including user access, security settings, and system parameters.
  • Customize workflows, forms, and reports to meet facility management needs.
• Data Management
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date facility data within the CAFM system.
  • Ensure data integrity for space allocations, asset inventories, and occupancy information.
• Integration and Interoperability
  • Collaborate with Building Management Systems, IoT devices, and HR systems to integrate data and streamline processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
• User Support and Training
  • Provide technical support to end‑users and address system‑related inquiries.
  • Conduct training sessions using a train‑the‑trainer approach.
• System Enhancements and Upgrades
  • Evaluate new features and enhancements in CAFM software.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Reporting and Analytics
  • Generate regular reports on facility utilisation, maintenance activities, and space occupancy.
  • Analyse data trends to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Compliance and Best Practices
  • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices related to CAFM.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidance.
• Vendor Management
  • Collaborate with CAFM software vendors and service providers.
  • Participate in vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Proactively identify areas for system optimisation and propose enhancements.
  • Participate in cross‑functional teams to improve facility management processes.

Necessary:

• Experience working within Facilities Management or an equivalent industry, using CAFM products such as MRI’s Concept Evolution.
• Proficiency with current technologies and tooling.
• Highly motivated, driven, and capable of working with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
• Ability to plan, manage, and execute one’s own workload.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Desirable:

• Strong experience implementing, supporting, and managing databases, data applications, and tooling.
• Experience configuring vertical applications.
• Higher education qualification preferred, but not essential.
