The successful candidate will provide technical support to a growing customer base, dealing with faults and queries across servers, desktop computers, laptops, networking, internet connectivity, telephony, printers and associated peripherals.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to customers via telephone, email, remote access and on-site.
* Diagnose and resolve issues across desktops, laptops, servers, Microsoft 365, printers and peripherals.
* Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and network equipment, including routers, switches and Wi-Fi.
* Assist with user accounts, permissions, backups, security and general systems administration.
* Support customer IT installations, upgrades and technical projects through to completion.
* Liaise with third-party suppliers and escalate complex issues where required.
* Maintain accurate service desk records, documentation and customer updates.
* Deliver a high standard of customer service, taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
* Prioritise workloads effectively while working both independently and as part of a technical team.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in an IT support/helpdesk or technical support role, ideally within an MSP or customer-focused IT environment.
* Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, software and networking.
* Practical experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, servers, printers and network connectivity.
* Understanding of TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi and general network infrastructure.
* Experience with user accounts, permissions, backups and basic system administration.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to resolving technical issues.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
* Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritise workloads and maintain accurate records.
* Proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine willingness to learn and develop technically.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites where required.
