Broadband Test Engineer
350 per day 6-Month Contract
Ipswich 3 Days Onsite
We're supporting a leading UK telecommunications organisation undergoing significant investment across its customer connectivity platform.
We're looking for an experienced Broadband Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team responsible for investigating and resolving complex issues across Home Hubs, Wi-Fi platforms and broadband customer equipment.
This is a highly technical role focused on fault investigation, root cause analysis and defect resolution rather than traditional support.
Required Experience- Home Hub, gateway or broadband CPE troubleshooting
- TCP/IP networking
- Wi-Fi technologies and RF fundamentals
- Packet capture analysis
- Linux environments
- Python scripting
- FTTP and broadband technologies
- IPv4 / IPv6
- Core dump and crash analysis
- Technical log analysis
- Root cause investigation
- Home Hubs
- Broadband CPE
- Digital Voice
- TR-069 / TR-369
- Linux
- Python
- Git
- Git Lab
- Jira
- Wireshark
- Investigate complex customer-impacting technical issues
- Reproduce faults within laboratory environments
- Analyse logs, telemetry and packet captures
- Work with firmware development teams and suppliers
- Produce defect reports and technical evidence

- Drive issues through to root cause resolution
