Claims Technician

To deliver a prompt, accurate and efficient claims service that supports Miller, our clients and the wider market. The role will ensure claims are progressed and settled effectively, while maintaining high standards of client service, operational control and regulatory compliance.

• Manage claims promptly and efficiently, supporting timely resolution and settlement while continually reviewing service standards and opportunities for improvement.
• Process claims documentation accurately and within agreed timescales, responding clearly to queries relating to claims handling and processing.
• Handle client monies securely, efficiently and in a fully auditable manner, proactively managing payments and reconciliations where required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across Miller’s internal systems.
• Work closely with placing teams and colleagues across Miller to ensure clients’ wider requirements are understood and met.
• Prepare clear, accurate claims statistics and management information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers and other market partners, as appropriate.
• Complete quality-control checks on documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to agreed procedures.
• Work in accordance with Miller’s policies, procedures, systems and controls, including all relevant compliance, legal, financial crime and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with external standards and individual obligations relevant to the role, including Lloyd’s byelaws and FCA requirements.
• Act as an ambassador for Miller, demonstrating our values and contributing to the strength of our reputation in the market.
