Legal Assistant - Residential Conveyancing

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Residential Conveyancing team. This role involves supporting fee earners throughout the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to post-completion and file closure.

  Our core office hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm - flexible working options can be discussed

• Maintain accurate client and matter records using our case management system.
• Liaise with clients and third parties (solicitors, estate agents, lenders) to provide updates and progress transactions.
• Assist with drafting legal documents, preparing contract papers and coordinating document requests.
• Manage financial processes including payment requisitions, billing, and completion statements.
• Handle pre-exchange, pre-completion and post-completion tasks such as searches, Land Registry applications, SDLT filings and document archiving.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in conveyancing or a similar legal support role is desirable
