Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) is looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Technician to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team. The role is based in Ipswich and involves providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites. Maintenance Services delivers a high quality service to the Trust’s portfolio of properties and those of our external customers, ensuring a safe, secure and pleasant environment for all.

The Technician will undertake analysis, fault finding/diagnostics, testing, installation, routine maintenance and repair work associated with complex building, mechanical, electrical and electronic installations and equipment in an economical, efficient and safe manner and within the scope of training outside their core trade. They will provide operational and technical advice to team members and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures, and undertake condition surveys and evaluate inspection reports.

The successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, self‑motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique, varied environment.
