We are delighted to be recruiting a Technical Team Manager for our long-standing, award-winning client based in Ipswich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to join a dynamic organisation committed to excellence.
The Technical Team Manager will lead and oversee management to the Technical Department, ensuring the highest standards of service and quality of work, whilst efficiently delivering excellent technical customer service.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with directors and heads of departments to align technical processes with organisational objectives and any operational changes
- Leading, developing, and managing the Technical Department team, including Managers, Supervisors, and Coordinators, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach to leadership and management
- Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development to support the growth and effectiveness of the technical management team
- Ensuring timely completion of technical tasks and projects, escalating issues to the Head of Technical where necessary
- Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on key department statistics, performance metrics, and workflow efficiencies
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high-quality service delivery within the Technical Department
Experience &
Skills Required:
- Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of successfully managing larger teams within a technical services environment
- Solid experience within the construction sector or a related technical field, with a thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a desire for continuous personal and professional growth
- Demonstrable ability to drive team performance, foster collaboration, and inspire confidence in both the management team and wider department
